Jim & Sandy Bay
Prairie City, Oregon is at the eastern end of the beautiful John Day Valley on the main stem of the John Day River, with its headwaters originating in the Strawberry and Blue Mountains just 10 miles away. Whether shopping, dining or just relaxing, Prairie City offers a unique experience, as it is one of the few remaining classic American towns that has not been "box stored" or "discovered." For that down-home feeling you can enjoy Chuck's Little Diner, open for breakfast and lunch, or the Oxbow Coffee House & Restaurant, which is open for lunch and dinner. Don’t miss Prairie City Antiques, which offers a wide range of items from Victorian furniture to fine jewelry. Jim & Sandy Bay are offering 3 vacation rentals for you to choose from. Reserve a night in the downtown Prairie City Apartment overlooking the town and the Strawberry Mountains (sleeps up to 4), or choose a larger home in Prairie City that will accommodate up to 11. If you would like more room to spread out then you simply must book the ten acre farmhouse in Mount Vernon that will sleep 7 comfortably. Rates start at $100/ night (up to 4 people) and are then calculated based on number of people and length of stay.
